Our Scottish friends and us! GEP Language and ICT 5th Level

In the years 2009-11 our school was delighted to participate in a Comenius Regio Programme alltogether with local institutions. The  partnerships were bilateral partnerships between two local or regional authorities with a role in school education in different countries.
Comenius Regio partnerships aimed at enhancing the European dimension of education  by promoting cooperation activities between local and regional authorities with a specific role.

Specific objectives:
• To develop knowledge and understanding among young people and educational
staff of the diversity of European cultures and languages and its value
• To help young people acquire the basic life-skills and competences necessary for
their personal development, for future employment and for active European
citizenship.

From that partnership, we started a contact with  Edinbarnet Primary School in Clydebank, Glasgow (Scotland). From the shared projects, a special friendship began with one of the responsible teachers in charge of the programme, Mrs Catriona Morrison.

Since then, we have been very interested in working together and sharing experiences both of us. New technologies offer us a wide range of possibilities to know and learn about each other much more.

For this present school year we have already designed a variety of language activities combined with ICT skills to be put in practice with our 10-12 year olds.
